On Sunday 2nd August 2020 you will be able to listen to some of the biggest and best songs the LGBTQ+ community has to offer all in one place when Queerly radio launches this weekend.

Queerly Radio

Queerly radio will supply you with the belters from Mariah to the bops from Lady Gaga alongside incredible original songs written by LGBTQ+ artists.

The founder of Queerly Radio Rob Gillett strongly believes in the concept of giving LGBTQ+ artists and allies a platform to share their songs on a station dedicated to supporting the community. This is what Rob had to say about the importance of Queerly Radio:

‘I had this sense that a lot of mainstream radio is quite alienating for queer people and during lockdown decided to explore the idea of a much more inclusive station. Queerly still plays a lot of the hits you’ll hear on other stations but we are actively seeking out queer artists to add to the playlist and beyond that the platform is open to bringing a much more diverse range of voices on air. There’s a lot more work to do but that’s the goal!”

Launch day

On Sunday 2nd August after months of anticipation Queerly Radio will officially launch with a special live show.

The line up already includes specialist programming such as The Eurovision Show with Simon Harding and hit-DJ Robin Schulz’s Suga Radio Show. Queerly have committed to developing even more shows to give a platform to a diverse range of LGBTQ+ voices.

Listeners will be able to tune in to a variety of music shows. Snap, Crackle & Bop, Queerly’s breakfast show will help you ‘wake up proud‘ with the latest hits and classic bops. The most iconic female voices of all time will take centre stage in the show Queerly DIVAS. Queerly’s Kitchen Disco will bring the party with back to back queer anthems and floor fillers.
