‘Tis the season
For many people, Christmas is the time for giving and letting loved ones know you’re thinking of them.
What better way to show support and care for the LGBTQ+ people in your life than choosing gifts from companies that work closely with the community.
Of course, people are people, and LGBTQ+ folks don’t need a specific rainbow-coloured gift, but here are a few companies who are either LGBTQ+ owned or make specifically inclusive and wonderful products.
Etsy
Possibly an obvious choice, but I thought they were an honourable mention.
Etsy is one of my favourite companies; it is attractive and easy to use, perfect for tailoring down exactly what you need, offers friendly messaging services and most importantly stocks hundreds and thousands of beautiful products, all prices, and often handmade or sustainable.
There’s even a section on the website devoted purely to LGBTQ+ businesses! Support independent!
Top Pick: Leftbians sell fantastic handmade jewelry with queer, leftwing slogans

TomboyX
A wonderful shop stocking non-gendered underwear, loungewear, accessories and even compression tops.
Their products are fun, sustainable and expertly designed to be comfortable and inclusive of all shapes, sizes and gender expressions.
Top Pick: the Star Bright print line is gorgeous!

Little Red Tarot
A personal favourite of mine, Little Red Tarot stock a beautiful range of products for the Witch in your life! Tarot card decks, books, aromatherapy, planners and more.
They are a Queer-owned, UK based business and sell work belonging to independent artists, much of which specialises in re-reading tarot and spirituality in a genderless, polyamorous and queer lense.
Top Pick: Queering the Tarot by Cassandra Snow is a must-have

Rainbow Depot
For the LGBTQ+ folks in your life who need a little more colour, the Rainbow Depot stocks everything from stickers to clothing to Christmas decorations all in queer, rainbow or flag-themed prints.
Top Picks: The Rainbow Feather Wreath and ‘Ho Ho Homo’ range really made me laugh

Gays the Word
Why not chip into a bit of history by shopping at the iconic, Gays The Word, this festive season?
The UK’s oldest LGBTQ+ bookshop, the company was started in 1979 by gay socialists, and stocks a monumental range of LGBTQ+ literature, from historical non-fiction to contemporary poetry to gripping memoirs and biographies.
Top Picks: To Be A Gay Man by Will Young is on my Christmas list!

Seasons greetings, and proud shopping!
