With over a year of anticipation following Covid complications, on Wednesday 16th, December 2020 the long-awaited cast announcement for RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 2 was ru-vealed.
12 new queens will be bringing it to the runway next year for the new series that is guaranteed to be even ‘bigger‘ than last year with our very first Scottish (Ellie Diamond, Lawrence Chaney) and Welsh (Tayce) queens entering the werk room.
With sickening looks and iconic introduction videos, fans cannot wait to tune in early next year to watch their favourite critically acclaimed drag competition and fall in love with each talented drag queen.
Another positive aspect of the meet the queens segment was the group podium picture that was taken after all queens were announced.
The UK queens are wearing outfits that represent the progress trans and black/brown inclusive pride flag.
We can confirm this series will have EVERYTHING we could have wished for and more.
This is what the creator of the competition RuPaul had to say about the importance of season 2 of the hit show.
“We feel honoured that you’ve embraced our little show, and our only wish is that we can offer a smile at a time when we can all use it the most.”– RuPaul said about the upcoming series. Source: BBCThree

We are entering the new year and bringing in a new generation of queens. Although @TiaKofi has built the foundation!
This versatile queen is providing killer looks, vocals and dance moves to match. Stepping away from her iconic drag trio girl group The Vixens to ‘Beyonce herself‘ it is time for Tia Kofi to smash it solo.
“Dundee Diamonds are a girl’s best friend.”
Ellie Diamond became the first Scottish drag queen to be announced as a cast member for the upcoming RuPaul’s Drag Race lineup.
Although one thing is for sure this eccentric larger than life six foot four queen is looking to achieve more than just representing.
Ellie Diamond wants to make herstory by becoming not only the first Scottish winner of drag race but the youngest ever winner too.
“I went from painting on canvases to painting on my face instead.”
Residing in the same city as last years winner The Vivienne, could Merseyside retain the crown in season 2?

“Hiya Babs! Fancy a slice?!” (We have been hearing this every time we close our eyes since the announcement).
The yellow crocs, the Kate Bush finger tattoos, the iconic catchphrase, the list of wonderful and wacky things we saw in Ginny’s introduction video is endless.
Born in Worcestershire but synonymous with the Birmingham drag scene, Ginny Lemon is renowned for their out of this world characteristics and personality traits that make them so beloved.
One thing we can promise fans of RuPaul’s Drag Race stans is that there will never be anybody quite like Ginny Lemon on the show again.
From Proudly and all the Birmingham based writers on this blog, we are so proud of you and we can’t wait to see you bring it each week on the mainstage bab x
“A star can’t be made; a star is born and it’s my time to be the star!”
