Black-Owned Businesses that need your support

In what has been a very testing time for so many people across the world this Coronavirus pandemic has forced many small businesses to shut down due to a lack of financial support during lockdowns.

With none essential shops forced to close since the start of the year, small business owners are not receiving any income that is essential for the company to stay afloat.

Many Black-owned businesses are at the heart of a community that provides a safe space for so many people. This is why it is essential that we continue to support these close-knit local businesses around the world.

At one point last year there was an array of hope. The events of last summer with the worldwide Black Lives Matter protests saw many people rally to support Black-owned businesses.

Sadly, since summer ended, the momentum shifted as people forgot to keep sharing and supporting these businesses.

Today Proudly was made aware of a new article with links to more than 150 Black-owned businesses that you can visit and purchase products to support those who need it most.

Links to support Black-owned businesses

We are delighted to see that people still care about supporting helping these companies thrive! So we decided to share the link to Sophia Conti’s excellent piece that you can view by clicking here.

There was also a recent article by Glamour that shared 52 Black-owned businesses that you can purchase a range of various products from too.

We must remain vocal and use our platform to help in any way we can. Without our readers support we wouldn’t have been able to keep going and we must do the same for so many other vulnerable local businesses around the world who need customers more than ever.

This isn’t a trend, this is somebody’s livelihood who has been seriously affected because of a virus.

Please play your part, support and promote in any way you can. We at Proudly stand and support all Black-owned businesses and we seriously hope there is some light at the end of this tunnel for everybody who has been affected.
